Overview (PDF)
| Apreso Classroom is the first lecture capture solution designed specifically to support integration with core university enterprise systems.
University Scheduling Systems
Apreso Classroom's XML-based scheduling architecture enables seamless integration with existing university classroom scheduling systems. Administrators simply schedule Apreso Classroom rooms once at the beginning of the semester, and from that point on the system will automatically capture and publish every lecture held at that time, in that classroom.
Web and Streaming Servers
Apreso Classroom's architecture also enables it to interface with
Web and streaming servers. Once the lecture capture is complete, Apreso
Classroom assembles the final product in an interactive Web format
and sends all files to the appropriate servers. This automated Web
publishing functionality eliminates the need for technical staff to
manually export, rename, manage, upload and create Web pages as is
often required when using stand-alone products.
Course Management Systems
The system's integration with CMS systems, including Blackboard and WebCT, means that finished presentations can be automatically posted to existing course portals using standard course identification numbers. Once posted, students can simply use their regular sign-in procedures and they will find links to Apreso Classroom lectures listed alongside assignments, study guides and other course resources.
School Information Systems
Apreso Classroom's enterprise architecture also provides IT and Instructional Technology personnel the ability to remotely manage, monitor and schedule individual classroom capture systems via a simple Web-based administrative interface.
